Mrs. Rachel E. Mock, widow of Solomon Mock, died at the Church of the Brethren Home, Martinsburg, Sunday, Jan. 27.
She was born at Bedford Valley March 29, 1854, a daughter of William and Elizabeth (Boor) Wertz. Her husband, a Bedford County farmer, died some years ago.
She is survived by two stepsons, J. C. Mock, Toledo, Ohio; Roy Mock, Michigan, and the following nieces and nephews: H. S. Oster, Cumberland; John Oster, Bedford Valley; Hugh Oster, Mt. Pleasant: Oscar Smith, Bedford: Walter Wertz, Bedford Valley; J. N. Wertz, Bedford; Mary E. Deremer, Bedford Valley; Pearl Nave, Greensburg: Annie Spidle, Newry, Alice and Ada Smith both of Bedford. Membership was held in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Bedford.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Barefoot Funeral Home, the Rev. Harvey L. Huntley, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Smith Cemetery, Bedford Valley.
