Mrs. Clara Schoen of Gladstone, Nebr., passed away at her home there Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1940, at the age of 66 (sic) years.
Funeral servies (sic) will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran church east of Gladstone with Dr. Henning of Junction City, Kans., officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Fred Schoen of Gladstone, Nebr., passed away at ther (sic) home there Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1940, at the age of 62 years, 3 months and 3 days. She had been in ill health for several years.
Clara Anna Elgert was born Aug. 23, 1878 at LaSalle, Illinois. On May 23, 1897 she married Fred Schoen of Gladstone. Mrs. Schoen lived most of her life in the Gladstone community.
She is survived by her husband and 10 children: Mrs. John Bauer of Gilead, Mrs. Elmer Bauer of Oak, Herman of Diller, Mrs. Wilber Ethers (sic) of Hebron, Mrs. Fred Fett of Reynolds, Carl of Fairbury, Mrs. Sherman Goldesberry (sic) of Washington, Kans., and Paul, Lawrence and Darline (sic) at home. Two children preceded her in death. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Oran (sic) Junker of Gladstone, Mrs. Hiddie Meyer of Fairbury; four brothers, Phillip of Trenton, Mo., Henry of Reynolds and John and Adolf (sic) of Fairbury; Two stepbrothers, Henry Georgs (sic) of Belvidere, and Dick Georgs (sic) of Reynolds and three stepsisters, Mrs. Mary Junker of Fairbury, Mrs. John Bandemer of Belvidere and Mrs. Ed Schleim of Gladstone.
