Born Prince William, Virginia, died Caldwell Co., Ky.
Spouse of Eleanor Morse. Wed. Sep 25, 1815, Caldwell Co., Ky.
Ella Foy O'Gorman's book, "Descendants of Virginia Calverts" list Elias as a brick mason and states that he built courthouses at both Princeton and Marion, Ky. One of Elias Calvert's sons, Riley Madison Calvert married Rhonda Prince, the grand-daughter of William Prince, the man Princeton was named for.
This cemetery was located on a farm owned by Mildred Baker, Hwy 139, and Crider Rd., 200 yards from the Wilds Cemetery Rd. It was destroyed by a former land owner.
It is such a shame that the last resting place of someone so connected to the early history of Caldwell Co., has been treated so disrespectfuly.
It has been reported that this was once a large cemetery. Now all that remains are a few broken stones.
Sources for names and dates in this cemetery from Calvert research by Peggy Gilkey.
