Louise Emma Addison passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2005, after a brief, courageous battle with cancer. She died, as she lived, with class and dignity. Louise was born to Robert Charles and Elizabeth Prunty on April 4, 1919, in Batavia, IA. She was the second child of a loving family of ten and was born on her dad's 30th birthday. He always said that Louise was his gift from God and the best birthday gift he ever received. She was special. Louise lived in Iowa until she met and married her one and only true love George. They eventually moved to California where they made their home together for 49 years until George passed away in 1991. Louise loved fashion and made a career in the retail business. She was the buyer for Normart's Furs until she retired at age 75. She lived her life to the fullest. Age was never a factor. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Addison; her parents, Robert Charles and Elizabeth Prunty; her sister, Virginia Fiebig; and her brother, Robert Charles Prunty, Jr. She is survived by her two daughters, Sue Sheehan and her husband David of Jacksonville, FL and Joan Stimmell and her husband Mark of Fresno; one adoring granddaughter, Lisa Stimmell of San Francisco, CA; five sisters, Betty Koepenick of Folsom, CA, Mary Beth Marousek and her husband Les of Atlantic, IA, Shirley Stell and her husband John of Berthoud, CO, Ruth Rausch and her husband Frank of Folsom, CA and Kay Mayes and her husband Don of Pueblo, CO; two brothers, Jack Prunty and his wife Judy of Lorimor, IA and Rex Prunty and his wife Linda of Swisher, IA; and many loving nieces and nephews. The entire family would like to thank Dr. Chris Thomson, Dr. Peter Wittlinger, the nurses and staff at St. Agnes Hospital, the "angels" from Hinds Hospice, and Norma Garland, for their loving and compassionate care. Memorial Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Thursday, December 29, 2005, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the John N. Lisle Chapel on Friday, December 30, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to Hinds Hospice Home, 1616 W. Twain, Fresno, CA 93711 or American Cancer Society, 2222 W. Shaw, Ste. 201, Fresno, CA 93711. LISLE FUNERAL HOME 1605 'L' Street, Fresno 266-0666.
