Mrs. Belle Applegate, 72, wife of Les Applegate, died at 7 o'clock yesterday morning at the family home in Yorktown after an extended illness. Surviving are the husband; one daughter, Mrs. Howard Pittenger of near Yorktown; a son, Chester Applegate of near Sulphur Springs; one sister, Mrs. Alice Moch of near Sulphur Springs; a brother, Samuel Jones of Alexandria; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Richman-Prillaman funeral home in Yorktown at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning, the Rev. Dewey Hole in charge. Burial will be in Hawk Cemetery, north of Yorktown. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday.
