HiI wish I could have found out about you before you went on to heaven. We share common ancestors back in Hardin of the 1800's! (I now live in Australia though) Your Great Grandfather, Thomas Spencer Barnard (son of Allen Andrew Barnard and Polly Hobbs) was brother to my GGG Grandfather Christopher William Barnard. My Dad was the third of that name and though I am a girl he named me as the 4th. Polly's Dad was Jefferson Christopher Hobbs.. which is where the Christopher started! Rest well cousin! Hope we can meet in heaven one day, with all the other Barnards!Kris

I've been working on our Barnard family tree, and find that Rad's, great grandfather, and my husbands great, great grandfather were brothers...Both sons of Allen and Polly Barnard. Small world, so sorry to find you too late, you sounded like a wonderful person.

He also worked in the fluorspar mines, with his friend, Robin Hastie. He, Robin, and Ted Rigsby then worked together in the limestone quarry business. By 1941, Rad and Ted began Rigsby and Barnard Quarry, while Robin left to begin other successful businesses of his own.
