I have a CD of Bobby playing with Jackie Gleason. It includes "I Can't Get Started," the song I continue to hear in my head whenever I think of Bobby's pure, clear style. I was first touched by his sound as a 13 year old and am still amazed that from brass he could pour out such sweet, delicate honey. -

I saw him at the old Americana Hotel in Manhattan towards "the end" He even "borrowed" a cornet from me. What an incredible, smooth player...he was simply a joy to listen to. He was also a member of St. Cecile Lodge #568 of Masons in New York
We miss you, Bobby! -

Bobby Hackett was one of the Greatest horn players that ever lived ,He is most likely showing Gabrel a few tricks on the horn, his style was in a class by its self,Job well done Bobby. -

Bobby's music will always be timeless...just as refreshing today as it was when he played it. He was a wonderful person and a true genius of music. -
