Charles Johns dies in Quinlan Monday--
Charles Lincoln Johns, died at his home in Quinlan, Oklahoma, Monday after an extend illness. He was 75 year of age. Funeral was held Wednesday in Quinlan, Oklahoma.
Mr. Johns came to the Quinlan neighborhood about 40 years age, homesteading 8 miles southwest of Quinlan, Oklahoma, where he resided until a few years ago, when he moved to Quinlan.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Johns, and 6 children: Mrs. Dora Pyle of Mooreland, Oklahoma; Mrs. Frank Hopkins; and Wilfred Johns both of Quinlan, Oklahoma; David Johns of Amarillo, Texas; Johns J. Johns of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and Mrs. George Crumrine of Bonita, Texas.
Charles Lincoln Johns was born on January 1, 1865 in Fairfield, Adams County, Pennsylvania to John and Savilla Kings Johns. Charles Lincoln Johns married Mary Garvie on January 31, 1894 in Exteter, Clay County, Kansas and to this union was born 6 children.
Charles Lincoln Johns died on October 7, 1940 in Quinlan, Woodward County, Oklahoma.
