94 YEARS OLD
Mary Belle, known to her loving nieces and nephews as "Aunt Belle" was the last surviving child of Armilda Perilee Bay Hoke and Hannibal Boone Hoke. She is survived by her only child Pamela Ann Martin Chandler and husband Robert; grandchildren, Don Chandler, Stacey Woolcock and husband Dan; and four great-grandchildren Glendon Chandler, Brinna Chandler, David Woolcock and Maddie Woolcock; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Glynn Forrest Martin and her loving grandson Glynn Chandler. Mary Belle was born in rural East Texas and spent her first 19 years there. She moved to Houston and began a career at Western Auto where she worked until the birth of her child Pamela. From that point on, Mary Belle devoted her life to Pam and Glynn. While Glynn worked in sales Mary Belle supported him by giving great parties and always being a great hostess. They were life-long members of Saint Luke's Methodist church where Mary Belle helped run Sunday School for many years. They were also long time members of the Briar Club where they formed many great friendships. They belonged to many dance clubs and really enjoyed their dancing for many years. In the year since Glynn passed away Mary Belle continued her life in Conroe and became the "Bingo Queen" of her assisted living home. She will be missed by her many friends and loving family.
