US Marine PFC Mack Arthur Jordan, Vietnam Veteran, Native of Tyner, North Carolina.

US Marine Private First Class Mack Arthur Jordan was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Marine Corps Selective Service and a Draftee, PFC Jordan served our country until December 19th, 1966 in Quang Nam, South Vietnam. He was 21 years old and was not married. It was reported that Mack died from artillery fire. His body was recovered. Mack was born on May 31st, 1945 in Tyner, North Carolina. PFC Jordan is on panel 13E, line 061 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.

Son of Mr Bennie Lee Jordan and Mrs Verna Lee Jordan, Route 1 Box 135, Tyner, NC.

He served with Mike Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division, 3rd MAF.

He was awarded The Combat Action Ribbon(CAR), The Purple Heart Medal and One Gold Star for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal.
