ALEXANDER, Johnson, 91, retired farm laborer, died Wednesday. Graveside services 1 p.m. Saturday, Alexander Family Cemetery, Seminole County (Swearingen, Seminole).

Johnson Alexander, 91 year old lifelong Seminole resident passed from this life Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Unity North Health Center inShawnee, Oklahoma.

Mr. Alexander was Seminole Indian who was born on December 25, 1915 in Seminole County, Oklahoma to mother Rosie Alexander and he was given the Indian name of "Cumseh". Johnson was a member of the Gar Creek Tribal Ground. He also belonged to the Mekvsukey Band and Bear Clan of the Seminole Nation.

Mr. Alexander leaves to cherish his memory one son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Floy Alexander of Seminole, Oklahoma. Two daughters, Penny Murray and Bessie Alexander both of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Niece and Nephew, Thomas & Rosana Jones of the home in Seminole, Oklahoma. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Johnson is preceded in death by his mother and by two brothers, Tony Alexander and Thomas Jones.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at the Family Cemetery with Paul Donnie Wolf officiating the service.
