CROSBYTON (Special) Services for James M. "Jake" Leatherwood, 62, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. today at the Crosbyton Church of Christ with Joseph Johnston officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.

He died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at his home.

He was born on March 6, 1937, in Crosby County. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a carpenter. He was a veteran of the Army. He lived in the Crosbyton area most of his life. He was preceded in death by one sister, Edna Stroud on April 2, 1962.

Survivors include one son, James Leatherwood Jr. of Irving; one step son, William Chapman of Idalou; one step daughter, Lora Yoder of Sacramento, Calif.; one brother, Guy G. Leatherwood of Dimmitt; and three step grandchildren.
