Comanche - RUBY DEE ROBESON BANDY, 85, of Comanche, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007, in Meridian Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in United Methodist Church in Comanche with the Rev. Steve Harshaw officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
Ruby was born Jan. 16, 1921, in Lebanon, Okla., to C.W. and Mattie Lee Robeson. After marrying Clarence Bandy on Dec. 23, 1946, in Marshall, Okla., the couple made their home in Comanche. Clarence preceded her in death in July 1982.
Ruby was a retired second- and fifth-grade school teacher, having taught for over 39 years. She was also a member of United Methodist Church in Comanche.
Survivors include a son, Bobby Bandy and his wife Renie of Comanche; her twin brother, L.D. Robeson of Lawton; two grandsons, Shannon Bandy and his wife Heather, and Shea Bandy and his wife Carli; and two great-grandsons, Eric and Landon Bandy, with another great-grandson on the way.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, a brother, and three half-sisters.
