Obituary.
Aunt Nancy Crisman (nee Ringle) departed this life on Wednesday morning, April 25, at 6:30, after a long and serious illness. She was born in Westmoreland county, Pa., on the 9th of February, 1812, and was married to Theo. Crisman on the 25th day of November, 1830. As a result of this union thirteen children were born. Of this number, Mrs. Lavina Snearer, of Lake county, Mrs. Hannah Gunder, of Porter county; Mrs. Eliza Smith, of Laporte county; Mrs. Mary Mathesis, of Hobart; Harrison, John and Thomas and Mesdames Louise Sholl and Alive Bently, of Kansas, survive her. In 1850 she and her husband moved from Carroll county, Ohio, and settled on a farm in Union township, on which she resided up to the time of her decease. Aunt Nancy, as she was familiarly called, had a host of friends and was universally loved and respected. Possessed of a warm heart, she was always ready to lend a hand in time of distress or affliction, and will be sadly missed by those to whom she was near and dear. She was 88 years, 2 months and 16 days of age. May she rest in peace.
