Mrs. Grace Hough Claimed by Death

Mrs. Grace Opal Hough, 58, of Webster Lake, native of Wells county, died at 4:15 Wednesday afternoon at the St. Joseph hospital in Fort Wayne. She had been ill the past four years and seriously ill the past week. Her death was attributed to pulmonary edema.

The decedent was born Feb. 16, 1892 in Wells county to Haman and Laura Brickley Allen. Her marriage was to Everett Hough on March 19, 1910. She resided nearly her entire lifetime in Wells county, near Markle. Four years ago when the family moved to Webster Lake.

Surviving are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. John Harnish, of Bluffton route 4 and Mrs. Maxine West, of Markle; three brothers, Lawrence W. Allen, of Huntington, Ralph Allen, of Gary, and Lewis Allen, of Peshtigo, Wis.; five grandchildren, Janice Doyle and Darrell Harnish, of Bluffton route 4; James West, of Markle and Nila Kay Tarr, of Yoder route 1. One daughter, two sisters and one brother are deceased.

The body was removed to the Bailey funeral home at Huntington where services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Rev. R. C. Burton officiating. Burial will be in the Barnes Chapel I. O. O. F. cemetery (sic Star of Hope cemetery) in Huntington county.
