Janis "Jan" Mae Buckberry, 77, of Waco, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2006, in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2006, in Lorena Cemetery with Chaplain Brian Pendleton and Dr. Allan Lane officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, December 4, 2006, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.

Jan was born in Lorena, Texas, to the late Cecil Coke Stroud and Vera Maude Stroud. She retired from H.E.B. after many years. Her passion was growing beautiful flowers.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Sue Stroud.

Survivors include her son, William Buckberry and his wife, Linda, of Austin; daughters, Brenda Green and husband, Tom, of Arlington, Texas, and Marsha Gilmore and husband, Bill, of Waco; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita Smith and husband, Carl, of Waco; many other relatives and numerous friends.
