PUEBLO ALTO, N.M. — Services for Nettie Jake Sandoval, 86, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel in Pueblo Alto, N.M. Ernest Curley will officiate. Burial will follow at the family plot in Pueblo Alto.

Sandoval died Oct. 23 in Gallup. She was born April 5,1920 in Whitehorse Lake, N.M. into the Mexican People Clan for the Tangle People Clan.

Sandoval's hobbies included rug weaving using the storm pattern and raising horses. She was a jockey and received many awards.

Survivors include sons, Curtis Lee Sandoval of Bloomfield, Emerson T. Sandoval and Ernest L. Sandoval both of Pueblo Alto, Eddie Lee Sandoval of Farmington; daughters, Lucy Judy of Cuba, Emma Ramone of Pueblo Alto, Christine Upshaw of Bloomfield and Esther Willetto of Farmington; brother, Robert Jake of Whitehorse Lake; sisters, Annie Smith, Julia Bradley and Priscilla Pettigrew, all of Whitehorse Lake; 25 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Sandoval was preceded in death by husband, Willie Sandoval and son, Alfred Sandoval.

Pallbearers will be Willie Sandoval II, Wallace Smith, Alex Sandoval, John M. Black, Fergusen Sandoval and Wenston Willeto.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
