Funeral service for Joe Allen will be held 1 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2006 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Bruce Mitchell, Rev. Ron Thompson, and Mr. Louden Wells officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Methodist Cemetery at Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 21, 2006 from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home Mr. Allen, 72, of Natchitoches, La., died Monday, November 20, 2006, in his residence at Natchitoches, La. He was a native of Long Beach, Ms. He was a retired plumber and Natchitoches Parish Police Juror for four years. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, American Legion and Veteran Of Foreign Wars. He served on the plumbers board for the City of Natchitoches. He was a veteran of Korean Conflict serving in the U. S. Army. He is preceded in death by one great-grandson, Jacob Lee Mayrand; sisters, Ann Rutledge and Mildren Allen; brother, Billy Allen; parents, William Homer Allen and Bessie Ladiner Allen. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Elaine Thomason Allen of Natchitoches, La.; two daughters, Stephanie Campbell and husband Kenny and Pam Wells all of Natchitoches, La.; grandchildren, Nicole Campbell, Cassie Mayrand, Hannah Jenks, and Louden Wells; two sisters, Ollie Frances Pierson of Long Beach, Ms. and Barbara Faye Crawford of Mobile, Al. Pallbearers will be Frank Thomason, Woody Cox, Bobby Dean, Vester Wilkerson, Dan Fedrick, Bob Adams, Thomas Dunagan, and Lionel Fayard. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Suber, Warren Gallien, Joe Martin, Tommy Dunagan, Jeff Guilliams, Jerry McElwee, Gary McElwee, and Sonny Stephens
