Joseph Frank died in Mountain Grove, July 23,1888 of asthma and cancer of the stomach. He was born in Elgiers, France, September 7, 1824, was married in Lebanon, Kentucky in 1858, went to Bedford, Indiana where he and his family resided until 1886 when they moved to south Missouri for his own and his son's health. He enlisted in the army in 1862 and served unti he was taken sick in the swamps near Vicksburg, which sickness caused his death. Although Mr. Frank was sick for many years, he was confined to his room but one year. His death has been expected for some time. His daughter, Mrs. Morris, of Springfield, and his son, Will Frank, of Mountain Grove, were present at the funeral. His son John Frank, of Topeka, Kansas, his daughter, Mrs. Gratzer, of Bedford, Indiana, and Mrs. John Hisor, of Denver, Colorado, could not be here.He leaves a wife and four grownchildren to mourn his death.Funeral services were conducted by Rev.
