Funeral services for C. C. Broaddus, Sr., 76 years old, of Hanover County, who died Sunday evening in his home at Peakes, were conducted Tuesday afternoon at Cool Spring Church at Atlee. The Daily Star - April 26, 1922.

The 30th Infantry Regiment completed its organization at Fredericksburg, Virginia, in June, 1861. Men of this unit were from Fredericksburg and the counties of Spotsylvania, Caroline, Stafford, and King George.
