Mrs. Grace Martin Banner, 84, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at Walnut Cove Health Care in Walnut Cove, NC. She was born in Forsyth County, NC, on September 14, 1922, to the late Clarence Martin and Lula Wooten Martin. Mrs. Banner was a loving mother and grandmother and was a member of Germanton Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Banner was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Gray Banner, and two brothers, Nelson and Ralph Martin. Mrs. Banner is survived by a daughter, Janet Kay Mabe of Westfield, NC; two sons, Tommy Needham and wife, Pam, of Walkertown, NC, and Jack Banner and wife, Jan, of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren; a brother, Ray Martin, of Germanton; and two sisters, Mable Banner of Rural Hall, NC, and Frances Golightly of Morganton, NC.
