Mrs. Dorothy Cassidy Hamilton age 95, of Emmet, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in Hope. Mrs. Hamilton was born December 13, 1919 in Bodcaw, Arkansas, to Burt and Ila Hodnet Cassidy. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Emmet. Mrs. Hamilton was a homemaker. She was an avid gardener, a greenhouse keeper, and loved to make quilts. Mrs. Hamilton was a loving and devoted wife and mother, and she was truly the last of a great generation. Mrs. Hamilton is preceded in death by her parents, Burt and Ila Cassidy, her husband, James A. Hamilton, one daughter, Carolyn Kay Hamilton, and three sisters; Margie Saunders, Mavis Smith, and Willie Jean Whitten.
Survivors include; numerous nieces, nephews, and other friends and family.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to New Liberty Baptist Church or the Snell Cemetery Fund.
Visitation is 1:00-2:00pm, Friday, October 9, 2015 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home.
Funeral service is 2:00pm, Friday, October 9, 2015 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Bro. James Cox officiating. Burial to be held at Snell Cemetery in Emmet, Arkansas.
