FORMER MAYOR OF TRIMBLE DIES
Robert S. 'Bobby' Switzer, mayor of Trimble from 1967 to 1971, died Wednesday night at Union City (Tenn.) Health Care Center after a long illness. He was 64.
Switzer, a farmer, also served on the Trimble and Dyer County school boards. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home in Newbern with burial in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Mr. Switzer, the husband of Ouida Switzer, also leaves three sons, Robert Switzer and Stanley Switzer, both of Trimble, and Ron Switzer of Dyersburg, and two granddaughters.
