4 th daughter of Ebenizer and Martha (Hockman) Carruthers. Annie moved with her family to Texas in the early 1880's. She married James Gregg Henderson (July 24, 1855-Aug. 31, 1921) on Dec. 28, 1883 in Fort Worth. James was born in Scotland and was naturalized in 1892. He was a stone-cutter and contractor who owned his own stone yard, from which he built many of the old buildings and houses in Fort Worth, which included St. Patrick's Catholic Cathedral.
Annie died on Oct. 16, 1897 @ 6:15PM after three weeks illness of brain fever resulting from an attack of Dengue (or Break Bone) Fever. She was burried in the Henderson Plot in Oakwood Cemetery. She was a Presbyterian.
