Ernest E. Lefeld, 56, 4904 Gause Road, Coldwater, died in the early morning of Aug. 5, at Community Hospital, Coldwater. He was born July 6, 1945, in St. Henry, to Seraphim and Clarina (Bettinger) Lefeld. On July 20, 1968, he married Janet Moeller, who survives. Other survivors are a son, Christopher of Reynoldsburg; a daughter and her husband, Amy and John Parker, Dayton; five brothers and their wives, Robert and Marge, Linus and Rosemary, Thomas and Judy, Leo and Virginia, and Valentine and Constance, all of St. Henry; a sister and her husband, Mary and James Jutte, St. Henry; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Richard and Karen Moeller, Centerville and Steve and Linda Moeller, Celina; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Diana and Steven Piehl, New Knoxville and Judy and Short Wilker, Celina; and father and mother-in-law, Richard and Doris Moeller. Deceased is a brother, Arthur. He was employed at Pax Steel, Coldwater, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1991, the Coldwater American Legion Post 470, and was a graduate of St. Henry High School*. He was a veteran of the Indiana National Guard. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Calling is from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday, at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Contributions can be made to the American Legion Scholarship Fund.
