Edgar J. Overman, 65, 1037 Ohio 716, Maria Stein, died at 4:10 p.m. January 11 at Stouder Memorial Hospital, Troy, following an illness. He was born August 2, 1932, in Maria Stein, to William and Mary (Buening) Overman. On May 10, 1969, he married Doris Depweg, who survives. Other survivors are a son, Edgar C. of Celina; three step daughters and their husbands, Theresa and Ron Billenstein, Rossburg, Barbara and Larry Dues, Coldwater, and Sandy and John Weitzel, Minster; a step son and his wife, Mike and Penny Overman, Versailles; two sisters and their husbands, Irene and Lloyd Lallemand, Dayton, Joanne and Walter Vondenhuevel, New Bremen; and a sister, Evelyn Eiting, Minster; a brother and his wife, Eugene and Donna of Minster and two brothers, Leroy of Fort Loramie and Victor of St. Marys; nine grandchildren and a great grandchild. Deceased are a step son, Jerry, and three grandchildren. He was retires from the Ohio Department of Transportation and was a retired farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of St. John Catholic Church, Maria Stein and its Men's Sodality. Funeral mass is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Emil Labbe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Calling is at 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry. (Obituary contributed by Jim)
