Alan Eugene Beck passed away at the age of 68 of cancer. He was born to Nels and Mary Eugenia (Fairbanks) Beck. He married Iris Lavenre (Elwood) Beck in 1951. She passed away in 1973. He married Winnie in 1975. He had lived in Paso Robles since 1995, coming from Vacaville, Ca and he lived in Winnemucca, NV. Alan was a partner in Air-Wise Aviation at the Nut Tree Airport retiring in 1995. In 1971 he bought the Winnemucca Equipment Co., and later the Nevada Valley Irrigation. He was a farmer and a rancher. He served on the Winnemucca School Board, was a commissioner for Humboldt County, on the Humboldt Planning Board and was on the Atascadero School Board in the 1960s. Alan is survived by his wife, Winnie of Paso Robles; sons, Neil of Clio, CA and Larry of Ramona, CA; daughter, Patricia Vermillion of Atascadero, CA; brother, Kenneth of Carrisa Plains, Ca; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
