A little white Baptist Church stands by the side of Lackey Town Road and it has thrived through the years, where family and old friends gather to celebrate beginnings and mourn endings. Where upon entering the doors you'll find a parish filled on Sundays. You will hear the Preacher with Bible in hand standing as all heads bowed in prayer. A little white Baptist Church with charm and history. Where the choir sings those long forgotten hymns. Ninety plus years have come and past. My remembrance is forever of a little white Baptist Church where the sound of footsteps is silent, I go through the doors for the last time. -Anonymous Added: Apr. 20, 2010 |
