Highland Recorder Nov. 18, 1921 Nov. 15, 1921 Abbot L. Armstrong, one of the few remaining Confederate veterans, passed away on Sunday evening at 7 oíclock. He was born July 5, 1844, and was 77 years, 4 months and eight days. He belonged to Company B. 19th Cavalry RegimentóRosserís Brigade Stuartís Division. He married Miss Martha Siron, who died about seven years ago, and to this union were born six children. His funeral services were conducted at the McKendree church by Rev. L.M. Moffett.
