Wayne Kerry Snell A beloved husband, father and grandfather, age 66, transitioned into eternal life on Monday, July 3, 2006. He is survived by wife Ana Maria, sons Wayne and Daniel, granddaughters Hana Lei, Alaia Nova and Clea Luna. He is also survived by sister Virginia, half-sister Marie, foster mother Irene Woodruff Holly and foster brothers William "Dickie" Holly and Dr. James Larry Holly. Preceeded in death by parents Edna and Theodore Roosevelt Snell, foster father Billy D. Holly, brothers Warren, Theodore and Louis and half-brother John Heck. Served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959 to 1963. A native to Northern Louisiana, he had lived in the New Orleans area since 1968. He will be missed by countless other family members and friends.

NOTE: Wayne worked in construction on the Mississippi River most of his life. He was cremated. His ashes, on June 30, 2007, were scattered upon the Mississippi River, across the levee from Leake Avenue and Leonidas Street, where he was just completing a new home, at New Orleans, Orleans, LA. His military marker was placed at the site of his parent's graves in the Oak Grove Cemetery at the Oak Grove Bible Baptist Church, just east of Hornbeck, Vernon, LA.
