Savannah - Reba Thornton Barnard, 89, died Friday, Jun 9, 2006 at the East Georgia Medical Center in Statesboro, GA. She was born in Pierce County, GA, and was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Lewis Defoe Barnard, a son, Troy Barnard, and a daughter in law, Kathy Barnard. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served as Church Pianist, a member of the Sunday School, and the WMU. She is survived by six children, Jack and Susan Barnard of Radford, VA; JoAnn and Ralph McCarty, of Grayson, GA; Janice and James Haygood, Glenn and Glenda Barnard and Thomas Buck Barnard all of Statesboro, GA; and Joseph D. Barnard of Savannah, GA, a sister, Savilla Howard of Bunnell, FL; 13 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the Fairhaven Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Monday in the Chapel of the Fairhaven Funeral Home & Crematory, with Rev. Bob Tice, officiating. Active Pallbearers will beGrandsons, and Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
