He was born in Bloomington to Wilbur and Beverly Russell Kraft.

He married Amy Burroughs Dec. 8, 1979. She survives.

Also surviving is his mother, Beverly (Curt) Fauth of El Paso; one son, John (Ann) Kraft of Hallsville, Missouri; three brothers, Larry (Billie) Kraft of Secor; Richard (Bev) Kraft of Heyworth and Ron (Lucy) Kraft of El Paso, Texas and one sister, Debbie (Huey) Harroun of Holly, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his father; one son, Dean; and one sister, Pam.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
