Fransisco Cortez Reyes was born Dec.3,1892, at Santa Rita Tonala, Jalisco,Mexico.
He served with Pancho Villa in Mexico. Migrating to the U.S. he was a resident for 50 years. He lived in Hershey for 30 years.
He married Margarita Anton and had 7 children. Marilyn, Manuel, Fransico, Carmen,Joe, and Hope.He remarried Anita Barron and had 7 children, Moses, Ralph,Charles, Larry,Rosa,Lupe,and Esmaralda, plus many grandchildren and great great great granchildren.
At 79,he was killed when his southbound car was struck by an eastbound Union Pacific freight train at the east UP crossing in Hershey. He was apparently blinded by the sun and didn't see the train coming. He was struck just behind the front right door.
He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hershey Nebraska.
He was a strong healthy man who loved all his children.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margarita Anton in 1941, and his son Jose Reyes. They are missed daily by his children. God rest your soul sweet Grandpa Pancho. We all love you and miss you very much. Your granddaughter Rachel.
