OBITUARY
Passed away at 7:25 pm on 15 November 1998 at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
Born in Council Grove, KS on 11 April 1925, Jane was the daughter of Dr. John and Marie Fredenburg, and lived in the early years of her life in Duncan, OK. On 31 December 1943, she married Lt. Robert R. Johnston of Spokane and lived around the world for the next 25 years as a military wife.
Jane leaves behind a large and loving family: husband Robert R. Johnston of Spokane; son Robert Jr. of Tumwater; son Stephen of Spokane; son Michael of Tacoma; daughter Ellen of Spokane; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and sister Jane Liptak of Spokane. Jane also joins her youngest son David who predeceased her in 1975.
Jane was well-known in the Northwest as a breeder of Arabian horses. She established Syringa Acres Arabin horse ranch, and showed and promoted the Arabian horse throughout the Western United States and Canada.
Jane was a member of the Lady of Lourdes parish. Guneral mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Cathedral at 10 am Wednesday, November 18,1998.
