Rev. Clarence W. Ollson, son of Louis Andrew and Clara Agnes (Vinyard) Ollson, was born on September 26, 1917, in Wheatfields, Arizona, and went home to be with his Lord on June 1, 2006, in Springfield, Mo.

On December 16, 1945, he was united in marriage with Hazel Baker and to this union four children were born. Clarence was a member of the Neighborhood Church in Modesto, California, and for the past six years has attended Central Assembly of God.

For 18 years, Clarence and Hazel worked in the mission fields together in Venezuela and Argentina. While living in Nebraska and California, Clarence served as a bilingual resource teacher, a reading specialist in the Riberbank school system, and taught Spanish at Modesto Junior College. During his free time he enjoyed bowling and restoring old cars.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel, of the home; four sons, Kenneth and his wife, Sue, of Madisonville, Louisiana, Clarence Daniel "Danny" of Springfield and Paul Gene Ollson and his wife, Vicki, of Modesto, Calif.; one daughter, Marjorie E. Smith and her husband, Clair, of Springfield and four grandchildren, Aaron and Joshua Smith and Matthew and Timothy Ollson. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 6, in the Maranatha Chapel. In his honor, memorial contributions may be made to the Clarence W. Ollson Scholarship Fund for Missions and may be left with the funeral home. Online personal condolences may be made at www.thieme-shadel.com.
