Mary died at the Evangelical Free Church Home in Boone. She is the daughter of Elias and Elizabeth Woods Jensen and was born on a farm NW of Webster City and attended school in that area. On October 18, 1936, she married Alert Olaf Anderson at Webster City. The couple farmed in Webster Co. near Flugstad, then for many years N.W of Webster City. She had been employed at Brown's Restaurant of Webster City for many years. Mr. Anderson died Dec. 14, 1967. She retired in 1969. She moved to Boone in 1987 and the Evangelical Free Church Home in 1999.
Mary was survived by sons and daughters-in-law, David & Shirley Anderson, Steve & Ruth Anderson, all of Boone; Dean & Teddy Anderson of Webster City; daughter, Sharon Johnson of Algona; 9 Grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a gr.gr.granddaughter; brothers, Weldon, Wallace & Woodrow Jensen, all of Webster City; several nieces and nephews
In addition to husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Helen Jensen and Anna Stapp.
