Inventor. He was a businessman with 50 patents in non-invasive medical devices, dermatological formulations, microchip manufacturing and printing and copying technology. In 1950 he came to New York, after earning a doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Palermo, Italy. He worked as a handyman for a carbon paper manufacturer, and invented a machine to make carbon paper more efficiently. He was appointed research director for the company. He later worked at Burroughs Corporation from 1959 to 1969, and applied for more than 50 patents in manufacturing and duplicating equipment and processes. He formed his first company in 1967, based on his invention of a high temperature printing process for manufacturing micro-electronic components on a ceramic chip. The process is one of the forerunners of today's micro-electronic technology. He formed his next company in 1969, which produced water based adhesives, used in food packaging, surgery, and theatrical makeup. The company later developed an electronic therapy system for treating tinnitus disorders. In the 1970s, he pioneered electromagnetic frequency therapy to treat arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome. He won the Marconi Science Award in 1995, and was inducted into the New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame, as inventor of the Year 2000.
