Mrs. Rosena Theobold, wife of the late John Theobold, died at four-thirty o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Fisher, three miles south of this city in Shelby township. Death was caused from a complication of diseases of which she had been suffering for two years. The deceased was born April 24, 1846 and was 77 years, eleven months and twenty-four days of age. Mrs. Theobold was the daughter of the late Henry and Rosena Haehl, who came to this country from Germany and settled in Union township. She was married to Mr. Theobold on September 1867. To this union eleven children were born, three of whom are deceased. Those surviving are five sons and three daughters. They are Julius and Cornelius of Shelbyville; Gustave of Decatur County; William of Indianapolis; Edward of near near[sic] Geneva; Mrs. Henry Fisher at whose home she passes away; Mrs. Adaline Harwood, of Greensburg and Mrs. Lulu Davis of this city. Also she leaves one brother, George Haehl, of Rays Crossing; a sister, Mrs. Caroline Witz, of near Manilla; twenty-two grand-children and eight great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical church in Union township. Funeral arrangements will be announced Tuesday by Piatt & Murphy, in charge.

Mrs. Rosena Theobald, widow of John Theobald, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Fisher, of Shelby township, at 4:30 o'clock this morning, from a complication of diseases with which she had suffered for the past two weeks.
The body has been brought to the home of her son, Julius Theobald, 119 north Walnut street, and funeral arrangements will be announced later by Piatt and & Murphy, funeral directors.
Mrs. Theobald was the daughter of Henry and Rosena Haehl, and was born in Union township. Her parents were natives of Germany. At the time of death she was 77 years, 11 months and 24 days old. She was a devoted member of the Union township Evangelical church.
She is survived by five sons and three daughters. The sons are Julius and Cornelius Theobald, of this city; Gustave Theobald, of Decatur county; William, of Indianapolis; Edward, of this county, and the daughters are Mrs. Fisher, at whose home she died; Mrs. Adeline Harwood, of Greensburg, and Mrs. Lula Davis, of this city. She also leaves twenty-two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one brother, George Haehl, of Rays Crossing, and one sister, Mrs. Caroline Witz, of Manilla.
