Zelma D. Butler, 101CRAWFORDSVILLE -- Zelma D. Butler, 101, of West Lafayette, formerly of Crawfordsville and Mace, died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at Westminster Health Pavilion in West Lafayette.Born Oct. 30, 1904, in Hoopeston, Ill., she was the daughter of the late William and Doris Steffenson Dawson.Her marriage was to Russell Butler on Feb. 21, 1924, in West Lafayette, and he preceded her in July 1992.Mrs. Butler was a homemaker.She was a member of Mace United Methodist Church, Rho Delta Class and the Flower Lovers Club. She was also a Red Cross volunteer for 25 years and served as leader for the Walnut Township S & E.Private family services will be held, the Rev. Velma Keesling officiating. Interment Oak Hill Mausoleum. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Online condolences may be made at www.huntandson.com
