| Only God could have saved you from being killed on the cliff as you helped to lower 75 men to safety in full view of the Japs. You stood up for your beliefs and I honor you for what you did.  It had to be, it really did have to be God protecting you as you saved 75 men by lowering them over a cliff under fire that took 75% of the team as casualities. and it is too well documented to be a legend. | There are many documented military heroes that I have admired throughout the years. But after reading about your exploits, they all have been replaced. Even among Congressional Medal of Honor recipients, those who did not have to kill are in a small minority. Had you been alive, I would have made an effort to meet with you just to shake your hand.
