Wow! God works in mysterious ways. I came upon your name by reading an article in the Washington Post Magazine about Storer College in Harper's Ferry, WV; which was one of the first African-American colleges in the US in 1865. I surfed the internet for images and pictures of the college and came upon your fort, John Brown Fort. I saw pictures of a battle and bloodshed. I presumed it was a battle of just African-Americans being killed by racist Americans. Upon reading and digging more, I was shocked to find out later that you are white and led a rebellion against slavery. That took alot of courage, heart, and guts Mr. Brown! I am extremely proud of you! --------------------------------------- John 15:12, 13 says, (12) "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. (13) Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends". Thank you, Mr. Brown, for your sacrifice! May you rest peacefully in the everlasting arms of God.

What a great man you were. You gave your life for what you believed in. No lawyers to fight to get you "OFF!" You went to your grave proudly paying the CONSEQUENCES for your actions. It seems very few people accept responsibility for their actions these days. It is indeed an honor to visit your Memorial (on FAG) and pay my respects. -- I am

Remembering you, along with my own departed loved ones and family, because your life and legacy are so dear. It has been, and remains, my privilege to study your life and labor to bring clarity and information to those interested in studying about your life. You were a unique, godly, and noble soul, and you will be remembered as such despite all the slanders, mistakes, and misrepresentations of the ignorant.

John Brown: I remember my mother telling me of her Grand father seeing you at their farm in Osawatomie, Kansas when he was just a boy. He told her you were mad, insane, as you had an ire light shining from your eyes at the time. you were on horse back, carried rifle in one hand and a Bible in the other. The blood shed you predicted to free the slaves did come about. Our mother had three cousins who rode in the Union Cavalry in the civil war later on. Thank God they all returned safe. You are not forgotten .

What a great man, you and your children. I wish that I could have been with you. As much as I try and read, I canot understand slaverly. Isnt greed a sin in the Bible? The same Bible that they said blacks were put in Earth to serve whites? Im sorry for your loss, Im proud of you and thank you!
