Charlotte was born on 27th St. in Baltimore City, daughter of John C. and Janie Jordan Watkins. She attended Eastern High School and worked as a PBX operator for a number of firms including General Equipment and Supply Co. At age 19, she married Charles William Vehrencamp and had two children: Susan Kathleen and Deidre Louise who died at age 9. She later married Raymond Willard Jordan (no relation to her mother) but had no more children. She lived on Parksley Ave. in Baltimore City until stricken with cancer and was moved to Catonsville Commons Nursing Home in Baltimore County, MD., in 2003 where she passed away on September 26, 2005. She was cremated and interred at Loudon Park Cemetery on Wilkens Ave. in Baltimore, MD.
