Bernice (Housley) Arnold, of Dayton, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at her home. She was 90. A lifelong resident of Dayton, Mrs. Arnold was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Emmit Arnold; sisters, Flora Arnold and Allie Shaver; and brothers, James and Earl Housley. Survivors include her son, William R. Arnold of Dayton; sisters, Mary Housley and Alma Pearl Suttles, both of North Carolina; brothers, Jessie, Cecil, Broyles and Johnny Housley, all of Dayton; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted today at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald and Dr. Danny Ruehling officiating. Burial will follow in Spence Cemetery in Dayton. Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton is in charge of the arrangements.
