Mrs. Matilda E. Fennel Walker, aged 58, a former resident of Jefferson Center district, Butler R. D. 4, died Monday afternoon at 1:40 o'clock at the Cottage hospital, Santa Barbara, Cal., after a short illness. Mrs. Walter was born in Armstrong county, the daughter of Peter and Margaret John Fennel. She was the widow of the late Harry Walker. She leaves a son, Edward H. Fennel, R. D. 1; a daughter, Mrs. Alma Schubert, Santa Barbara, Cal.; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Holland, Santa Barbara, Cal., Mrs. Harry Collen, Butler R. D. 4, and Mrs. Charles Hart, Buffalo, N. Y.; three brothers, Charles and Dee of Adrian, Pa., and Harry of Santa Barbara, Cal., and seven grandchildren. Funeral plans are incomplete pending the arrival of the body.
