Shooting at the park
"She came with the kids for some sort of play-date with another set of children and a family. He came to the park. Another altercation ensued. Shots were fired," said Orange County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jeff Williamson.
According to the sheriff's report, Paris was doing irrigation work at Bay Hill Village on South Apopka-Vineland Road when his wife went to meet him and exchange their child on Wednesday. The couple had been separated for a month after 16 years of marriage.
The Sheriff's Office report said Paris approached Adderly's vehicle and took her cellphone. Adderly got out and tried to get it back. Paris pushed her and she stumbled backward, the report said.
Adderly went back to her car, screaming for someone to call the police, the report said. Two hours later, Paris was accused of shooting Adderly several times.
"They met at some other mutually agreed upon location and then she came here," Williamson said. "He either followed her here or some other means and was able to find out she was here. She was shot and killed."
Adderly's three children, ages 15, 13 and 4, were standing right beside her.
"It shows how brazen he was to come here in broad daylight and shoot this woman in broad daylight in front of multiple witnesses, including juveniles," said Williamson. "I think it speaks a lot about the person and the crime itself. It's heinous.
The couple's three children are safe, investigators said.
