ROYERS, Emil J. 92, of Beavercreek, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014. He is survived by his living wife of 68 years, Mary Charlene (Rohloff) Royers; daughter, Sandra (Howard) Royers-Scheve of Beavercreek, Ohio, grandchildren, Rob Scheve of Beavercreek, Ohio, Nanette Scheve-Hall (Alton) of Riverside, Ohio , Todd Scheve of Fairborn, Ohio, Stephanie Royers-Burton (Bryon) of Michgan, five great grandchildren, Aaron, Skai and Marcus Hall, Chelsea, and Alex Scheve; four great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Olive Melvin-Royers-Krieg in 1970, and his father, William Oscar Royers and his grandson, Howard W. Scheve, Jr. on Feb. 22, 2002. He was retired from the U. S. Postal Service and was a veteran of WWII in the U. S. Army attaining the rank of Staff Sargent, assigned to the Air Corp. He was well liked and respected by his men during the war.
The many patrons on his mail routes liked him very much. He is remembered for his devotion to his wife and daughter, and for his remarkable intelligence and his wonderful sense of humor.
Jean was brilliant with the stock market making moves that netted approximately three million dollars. Investments were his true passion in life.
