Erv Pflug was the oldest of 5 living siblings born to Helen (Rittmueller) and Ernst Pflug. When his father died at a young age, Erv took over much of the responsibilities of the farm the family owned as well as being a "dad" to his younger siblings, Ernst and Wally. Erv spent many years serving as an elder at his church, St. Pauls in Addison, Illinois and was loved by everyone that knew him. He was referred to by those who spent time with him in the end as a "gentle soul" which is a perfect description of this wonderful and loving man. He is survived by a sister, Verna Jordan, by daughter Tamra (Anthony) Andrews and John (Daina) Pflug, grandchildren Sarah, Krista, Linnea, Amanda, Josh, Brandon, Callie, and Emma, and great grandchildren Anika and Isla. He was greeted in heaven by wife Darlene (Kirk) Pflug and son David, as well as his other brothers and sisters. He will be missed by many.
