Ridgeway Alden Burns, age 84, of Greenville, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday morning, May 18, 2013 from Spectrum Health-United Hospital. The son of Delia (Buchner) & Robert A. Burns I, he was born on January 30, 1929 in Belding and was a graduate of Belding High School. On May 4, 1963, in Petoskey, he married the former Sandra Kay Badder and they were members of the Jesus Non-Denominational Church in Greenville.

Ridgeway was an ordained minister in several denominations and over the years had also worked at Wolverine World Wide, Meijer, and as a television and radio repairman.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Sandra Kay Burns on November 23, 2007; a grandson, Aaron Elijah Dean on April 11, 2012; and his brother, Robert A. Burns II on April 11, 2013.

Surviving are his six children, Jody & Matthew Paulson of Belding, Jackie & Eric Moore of Kentwood, Steve Burns of Mancelona, Kimberly & Edward Dean of Howard City, Angie & Leon Puterbaugh of Twin Lake, and Beth & Richard Nagel of Rockford; twelve grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Jesus Non-Denominational Church, 9206 W. Peck Road, Greenville, with a time of food and fellowship immediately following the ceremony. Pastor Tommy D. Turner, Jr. will officiate and burial will take place privately at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Ionia. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the church.
