Gabriel Montoya Jr., age 96, passed away, Wednesday, December 28, 2005. Today the world has lost a very, very kind, gentle, and Christian man. Born in Gallina, NM to Gabriel Sr. and Inesita Cordova Montoya, he was raised in Cuba, NM and Married Eva G. Montoya on February 29, 1932. Preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Gabriel is survived by his son, Adam M. Montoya Sr. and Patricia "Pinkie" Sena; his brother, Eli and his wife, Susie; his sister, Lucila Cardenas and husband, Joe; his grandchildren, Ivy Pearl McVay and husband, Daniel, Rachael Pam Newkirk and husband, Michael, Daphne Montoya and Greta Clifton, Denise Montoya and Brenda Moffett, Tina Dorado and husband, Steve, Adam Montoya II and wife, Bernadette. Gabriel had 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, Tyler Clifton. A Viewing and Memorial Services will be held in Cuba at the Assembly of God Church, Sunday, January 1, 2006 at 3:00 p.m., with viewing beginning at 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Services and viewing will be held at the Cuba Assembly of God on Monday, January 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., with the viewing beginning at 10:00. Burial will follow at the Gabriel Montoya Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Dorado, Michael Dinelli, Jerry Burns, Eli Montoya II, Anton Sena, Andrew Baldonado, Joshua Apodaca, and Virgil Markham.
