LINNIE MAE AMERSON, 90, of Duncan, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005 in Duncan.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Highland Park Baptist Church, Duncan, with the Rev. Winston Curtis officiating. Interment will be in Milo (Okla.) Cemetery under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Linnie Mae was born Jan. 6, 1915, in Healdton, to Samuel B. and Callie L. Jones Henson. She married Wesley Henry Amerson on March 4, 1950, in Wilson. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1969. She retired from Lane Interiors as a seamstress in 1988. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.
Linnie was a loving wife and mother; she loved and served her Lord and Savior. She was faithful to her family, her church and friends.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Sammye and Debbie Amerson of Duncan; a stepdaughter, Helen Roinestad of Santa Maria, Calif.; a sister, Mildred Herron of Ardmore; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Henson of Healdton, and Marlene Henson of Irving, Texas; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Staton of Lubbock, Texas; three step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Kathryn Staton; four brothers, Clarence Henson, Cecil Henson, Floyd Henson and Jerry Henson; and a step-grandchild.
